St Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School Homepage

On behalf of our Headteacher and Governing Body,

A huge and happy Welcome to St Mary's R.C. Primary School, Osbaldeston, a small school at the edge of the beautiful Ribble Valley!

We hope our website gives you a helpful insight into our thriving school community and the Catholic values that shape everything we do.  We are a living and ever-changing school and the best way to experience St Mary’s is to visit us in person. We warmly welcome prospective families throughout the year and believe every day is an 'open day'. Visits can be arranged through our school office, and we would be delighted to meet you.

At St Mary’s, our Catholic faith is at the heart of school life. We are committed to providing a happy, safe and inspiring environment where every child is encouraged to grow in confidence, character and faith. Guided by the values of Christ, we nurture each child’s unique talents and help them flourish academically, socially and spiritually.

As a small school, we are proud of our strong sense of family. Our dedicated staff know every child as an individual and work closely with families to help each pupil thrive. We encourage children to take risks in their learning, build resilience and become caring, responsible stewards of God's world.

Pupil leadership plays an important role in school life at St Mary’s. Through a range of leadership opportunities, children develop confidence, teamwork and communication skills while contributing positively to our community.

We are also proud to be an Active School. We believe children learn best when they are engaged, involved and inspired through memorable experiences. Sport and physical activity are an important part of school life, and we strive to ensure every child has the opportunity to participate, compete and succeed.

Children’s wellbeing is central to everything we do. As a proud myHappymind school, we teach children from Pre-School to Year 6 about mental health, resilience and self-awareness, equipping them with practical tools to support their wellbeing. Initiatives such as Wellbeing Wednesdays, led by our Wellbeing Warriors and Happiness Heroes, help foster a positive and supportive environment for all.

We are incredibly proud of our school and would love the opportunity to welcome you to St Mary’s.
